About this deal

This is a book that grows on you, when I first picked it up, I was more curious than anything not really knowing what to expect, I had my doubts in the beginning, the sex was too clinical, she was just so naïve and Ander was almost too nice (*roll eyes* I know me and my obsession with alpha males) but as they changed so did my view on their story and I was totally into it. It was far from a perfect story and it could’ve used a extra something, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I was bothered like others by the character’s pen name being that of the author (and the Superman thing, too! The term "sopping wet" is not one of my favorites and to be honest, I could have done with less sex in the beginning of the story. There are several optional excursions for you to choose from including a day trip to Lake Louise and a whale-watching cruise.

He tried to remain professional with Lori, but it was refreshing to see him starting to break out of that shell and show her the real him. I can see why it bugs readers, but I thought I’d mention it because at least the real explanation for how it happened is sort of backward of what you might think (narcissistic author gives character same pen name as self). I'm normally in the 'hell no' column, but the story made up for some cringe-worthy moments, so I was able to carry on. He makes her feel so at ease in his presence and because Lori isn't going by her fantasies because she wants real the entire scene feels real.

Putting aside my cynism for a minute, I fully realize the implications of having daddy issues at the tender age of 32. If you like the idea of slow, immersive travel, a Jules Verne barge cruise on one of Europe’s canals is a great travel option. Not because she's desperate (honestly, tons of men would fuck her and wouldn't make her pay), but because - I personally believe - sex should be because two people want to do it. Rather than accepting this Lori withdraws and stops using Ander’s services because she crossed the line and I admired this because she completely disregards her own feelings and redirects what Ander told her in the beginning that he would terminate his professional relationship with anyone who crossed the line like she did although she did it at Ander’s request. When they meet properly for the first time the character's reactions are perfect; Lori is tense and extremely anxious about is going to happen as a virgin would be while Ander is completely at ease and does everything he can to help Lori relax.

In the first half of the book I considered DNF’ing it, but I am happy I read the whole book as the second half was better. I liked this slow, gradual build up of their relationship but we are always left with the question of whether it can go anyway. Jules Verne was founded in 1978 based on one simple idea and now we are celebrating our 45 year anniversary. Lori, in an attempt to distance herself from Anders and the feelings she has that are developing for him, even tries to date another author. If you're looking for a steamy, feel-good Pretty Woman in reverse, this will do the trick quite nicely.

Because they met privately for so long, there wasn't much opportunity to introduce a lot of characters. We also see them sort of admit their want for without actually voicing it and with some investigation Lori finds out who Ander actually is and it doesn’t really seem to phase her at all. We have been recognised throughout the years by winning a number of prestigious awards from within and outside of the travel industry. Breaking is an erotic novella (21,000 words) that can be read as a standalone, although it features characters from Escorted.

You have to be patient and attentive because there are emotions even though they are not obvious to the eye. It's pretty steamy, it has a relatable heroine, the Hero (of course) is super hot and who wouldn't like a fairy tale like this: you want to get rid of your pesky virginity, so you hire a hot guy to do the deed. I highly recommend to read this book you won't be disappointed I can't wait to read another of Claire Kents books. The whole book was from Lori’s point of view, but the glimpses you got of Ander were very nicely done. The author's one and only task amounted to making the aforementioned scenes so hot that no bitch out there noticed the lack of plot or basic coherence.

She was really nosy as well, and would try to pry into Ander's life so she could get to know him better. I really liked Ander from the very beginning, he never made Lori feel odd or awkward for still being a virgin. A 26 year old author-slash-virgin decides that she's tired of being inexperienced and wants to hand in her V card. One of the best books I read the year I read it was written by Laura Leone (I think) and it centered around a male prostitute. As a bestselling romance author, Lori decides it is time to get rid of her virginity and through referral obtains the name of Ander Lourdes, a high end, very sexy escort.
