About this deal

Arrow of Love’ is a cheesy electronica party anthem stating “I’m gonna give my heart to everyone around, I’m gonna share my love with everyone”, jumping from heavy metalcore riffs to a high tuned staccatoed synth section. Kicking off the album is the Aerobics Australia clubcore anthem ‘ Pump It‘, the song that was also used as the band’s application for Eurovision 2022(which the German music committee couldn’t get into) but as metalcore fans, we embraced the sh! A hot contender for one of the most important metalcore albums of the year, “Tekkno” delivers the most diverse sound the band from Castrop-Rauxel has ever presented. Nicholas Senior of New Noise Magazine stated, "Tekkno appropriately feels like a rebirth for the famed ravecore pioneers. Sure some tracks are passable but for the most part, it’s a fresh approach to an at times, tiresome and repetitive landscape of breakdowns and blastbeats… In saying that, BRING ON THE LIVE SHOWS!

Some music acts which have a comedy element focus too much on comedy and not enough about the music. and Enter Shikari, as both vocalists Kevin Ratajczak and Nico Sallach take turns to get you all hyped up for the next half hour and ensure that you’re definitely in the party mood. They’re still a band who rely deeply on a gimmick of blending cheesy, sugary Eurodance with standard-issue Warped Tour metalcore, i. A certain edge that wasn’t there before has now become the raving pink elephant in the room, packed with never-ending energy and breaking every boundary. On 12 February 2020, the band announced through their social media appearances that the previous singer "Sushi" would be leaving the band. It’s the same with Pump It, and We Got The Moves, and Arrow Of Love; it’s the work of a joke band where any of hint of a pejorative in such a sentiment has been acid-washed right off, and that’s where a lot of the fun comes from.

Neon”, like “Arrow Of Love”, surrenders to a nineties disco vibe that turns the track into a synth ballad and reveals a peaceful momentum of the album. We Are the Mess peaked in 8th place on Germany's official long-play charts and in 64th place in Austria. It’s all designed as a rush in which subtlety is as foreign a concept as they come, and where a lot of the production reflects that in some pretty evident flatness.

Spaceman’ (featuring German rapper Finch) has lively techno moments that are contrasted by big metalcore sections and EDM choruses which hail rave culture. Upon saying that, third track ‘Fuckboi’ (featuring Conquer Divide) is just a slightly heavier yet simultaneously more lofi version of Machine Gun Kelly and Avril Lavigne’s ‘Bois Lie’. None of these elements are easy to conduct well and the standard is certainly much higher when new listeners only know you for screaming over what could be a Scooter track. In “Tekkno,” a mash-up between Eurodance-inspired tunes and brutal djent-sprinkled riffs becomes the norm.Parasite‘ keeps the rave cave phase alive with an intro that takes me back to listening to the likes of The Prodigy, Deadmau5 and Tiesto before opening up for the chorus with cleans and screams surrounded by bassy synth and background riffs. My EDM phase may have died a long long time ago, but I can just imagine fluoro wearing Browny losing his mind to this at Summafielddayzeor Global Gathering (I didn’t go to Stereosonicbecause I wasn’t ripped enough). The last section of the track is full to the brim with blast beats and rapid double kicks, as well as growls, screeches, and even a pig squeal thrown in for good measure. huge breakdowns, brilliant pop choruses, modern and old-school electro, metalcore riffs, and a large dose of escapist fun. But let’s not just focus on EC in this synth-metal-pop jam, yes it’s their album, but Conquer Divide offer so much to the mix that literally couldn’t be done without them.

I’ve included the live version below so you can get an understanding of what you’re in for – and help you get pit ready in anticipation – because you’re gonna need that stamina mates! With tons of energy and fun on board, the band from Castrop-Rauxel delivers an unprecedentedly fulminant metalcore-firework that is second to none. Right now, I can imagine them flipping me off with a tiny hand on each finger (linked below, so you will know what the hell I am talking about), and I am so glad they didn’t take my advice. Eclectic production beats bounce off David-Karl Friedrich’s own heavy drum rhythms at driving force in the same way Sallach’s powerful clean vocals and Kevin Ratajczak’s rough growls do.This is only seen a handful of times in ‘Spaceman’ and ‘Hurikkan’ during their most camp pop moments.
