About this deal

A creamy mouthfeel with a dried fruit influence, sea salt, creamy caramel with hints of nuts and gentle spice. The profile of this whisky is a nose of aromatic fruit and caramel, a palette of smooth vanilla, and plenty of smoke and smoothness. Situated at the end of a small single track road, on the shores of the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is known for its spectacular surroundings and delicious signature unpeated Islay Single Malt Whisky.

Bunnahabhain whisky was founded in 1881 and today is the only distillery on the island of Islay to use pure spring water in its production process. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it is accurate, it is not a substitute for your reading the product packaging and label prior to use. Ebenso mögen die 46,3% Alkoholvolumen für manche Anfänger brennend wirken, wenn man zuvor nur Whisky mit 40% oder allenfalls 43% kannte. They mention it's a good dram, well received as a gift, and an awesome offering from a brilliant distillery. In fact, Bunnahabhain is known for producing some of the most mellow whisky in the island of Islay — other than their peaty offering, Moine. Crafted by our Master Blender, it combines sherry casks of different ages and origins to showcase the coastal essence of Bunnahabhain, while retaining the beloved sherry influence found in our famous 12-year-old whisky.

Each sip of Bunnahabhain whisky is an invitation to discover the softer and more delicate side of Islay, evoking a sense of tranquility and mystery. Meaning 'Helmsman' in Gaelic, the Stiuireadair is selected from first and second fill sherry casks from multiple vintages and warehouse locations. Our blender has spent a lot of time carefully selecting casks with spirit of varying ages from the corners of our shore side warehouses to create this distinctive dram, with its rich characterful heart, typical of Bunnahabhain, thanks to the high proportion of sherry casks we use.

The Bunnahabhain distillery is known for its connection to the sea, as the distillery is situated in a remote area on the Islay coast. Established in 1881, the distillery bears the Gaelic name Bunnahabhain (Bu-na-ha-venn), signifying 'mouth of the river.
