About this deal

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Also, the very control of the buttons has been slightly changed, but on the SB-900 and on the SB-910 the control is very, very intuitive. There is almost nothing under the sun that could go wrong with a flash that doesn’t void your warranty. and you can install that by downloading the proper file from Nikon's Web site and using a D90, D7000, D7100, D300, D600, D700, D800, D3 series, or D4 to perform the update (these cameras must have their firmware at the current version first).

This seems a more civilised and organised way to do things than randomly snapping people on the dance-floor - almost inevitably catching unflattering, ridiculous expressions and postures.Nikon SB-910 has all the little thingsthat are so indispensable when shooting: card diffuser, button illumination, quick reload, auto focus infrared light, color filter support, smart overheating program, quick latch on the shoe (there are other types, for example in Metz-48 instead of a latch - a nut). The biggest limitation is heating it up too far, and something new about the SB-910 is that if it overheats because you've been shooting too hard, instead of simply dying for ten minutes while it cools off, it will gradually increase the recycle time to throttle you back.

The only down-side to the SB700 is that it doesn’t have a PC sync port, however since I never use it wirelessly and my cameras have PC sync ports, I don’t consider this to be a deal-breaker. So if someone put a gun to my head and made me decide between the 900 and the 910, I’d pick the 910. These are the number of full-power dumps Nikon claims you can get if you wait as long as 30 seconds for it to recycle. Because you do have to shoot continuously as kids are very unpredictable, the flash recycle time was showing its limitations quite clearly where the flash pops were very inconsistent in terms of power, and in some cases simply not firing at all. It's even worse that the SB-900 starts beeping terribly when it overheats, this is also not acceptable, especially when shooting in the temple, weddings etc.Non-TTL "Auto aperture" Auto mode: the SB-910 is smart enough to read the ISO and set aperture from your camera, and then uses its own sensor to set the exposure.

Overall the SB-5000 can match and in some cases exceeds the SB-910 Performance + has an improved cooling system for longer shooting sessions without fear of overheating. maybe if I just do Transmitter and receiver it would be fine, my problem was more on the flash units. That means that the OK button if pressed means "OK," but if held down will take you to the menu system, where the custom configuration settings live. The head swivel mechanism is still the same (though you can go the full 180 degrees in both directions now, and the primary Mode and Zoom buttons are the same. We've been using a full production version of this 120 fps sports camera, to see what you gain (and, perhaps, lose). If your Nikon camera supports Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS) then the SB-5000 will work fine. Final Note: Nikon has traditionally taken great measures to maintain compatibility over the years and the SB 5000 is proof of their commitment, backward compatible with your older Nikon wireless optical flashes and forward-leaning into the RF technology when you are ready. You have to shoot with the different settings to understand just how much we've needed more light modification from flash.

They are working good for me and at this time I do not see any need to upgrade to the new flash units, or some other third party brand, unless there was some feature I could not live without. This is also very bad, especially when shooting important - imagine - the flash works, but does not give a light pulse. The flash has special connectors for external power supply and control via a cable - for studio and serious professional photography - these are very important details. And with refined operability including illuminated buttons for use in low light and improved thermal cut out protection, the SB-910 is the perfect partner to your D-SLR.
