About this deal

I won’t give anything away for those who want to read this one, but the last section was definitely a little unbelievable for me and that did drop my rating slightly. The one sitting here, with her precious green card permit in front of her, exchanging pleasantries with the man who provided it? I've neither made, nor eaten, frog soup — I'm more of a Panera broccoli cheddar girl, to be completely honest.

However, this short summary hooked me and made me excited to read this book, mostly because I liked the idea of a decoy temptress. A premise that requires all suspension of disbelief and an unreliable narrator makes for a frustrating more so than thrilling read, but for two-thirds of the way Believe Me is a reasonably entertaining, albeit pretty average, psychological thriller. Everything about it was so carefully crafted, from the story to the characters to the writing techniques. It's been a hard time coming, but I've really come around to structural changes to your typical story telling (when done right). A tasty, if not always tasteful, tale of supernatural mayhem that fans of King and Crichton alike will enjoy. The Carnivia Trilogy, a series of three standalone but interlinked thrillers set in present-day Venice and written under the name Jonathan Holt, was published in more than 20 countries. I was… and still am… much better at sewing on buttons than tap dancing… or any dancing for that matter.

I, per usual, was ensconced backstage, stitching up snagged poodle skirts and buffing the scuffs off of T-birds jackets. You may find book reviews, chocolate sampling, adventures with squirrels, and a lot of tea drinking, happening here. Delaney, I did not read the original version of this book, but I would like to go on record saying that this recreation of your original idea is a true masterpiece. Well, that was until hundreds (thousands) visited more recently to read my review of A Simple Favour by Darcey Bell – which I gather is being / has been made into a movie. Claire Wright is an actress who was blacklisted in the UK, and takes up coursework in New York City for a fresh start.

It is a beautifully written story, with Claire, a central character who is hard to get a grip on as we wonder if there is anything we can trust about her at all? Claire Wright a 25-year-old British woman with dreams of becoming an actress is struggling to make it in America.Though in my doctoral degree I chose to pursue psychology, literature has a very special place in my heart. But in college, despite the fact that I did not major in theatre, by some happenstance, I had occasion to take a very large number of acting classes. When the police start investigating one of Claire’s targets for murdering his wife – and potentially others too – they ask her to help lure their suspect into a confession. Thank you to Netgalley and Random House Publishing for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
